Family Resource Network (FRN) The Family Resource Network (FRN) is a comprehensive, family-focused, organization designed to meet the growing need for community based programs and services to this rising population. FRN's affiliated organizations are Autism Family Services of NJ, Caregivers of NJ, Epilepsy Foundation of NJ and the Family Support Center of NJ. NJ Statewide Parents Advocacy Network (NJ SPAN) The mission of the Statewide Parent Advocacy Network is to empower and support families and inform and involve professionals and others interested in the healthy development and education of children and youth. NJSPAN provides teleconferences, workshops, training and support. New
Jersey Division of Family Health Services, Early Intervention System
NJEIS under the Division of Family Health
Services, implements New Jersey's statewide system of services for infants
and toddlers, birth to age three, with developmental delays or
disabilities, and their families. The Department of Health and Senior
Services is appointed by the Governor as the state lead agency for the
Early Intervention System. New
Jersey Statewide Parent to Parent is
a statewide network of parents supporting families of children with

options. PACT also sponsors many social activities for the entire

Network International (ANI) ANI
is an autistic-run self-help and advocacy organization for autistic
people. Its website includes information about the organization and
its services, personal views of autism by some of its members, and related
links. Autism
Research Institute (ARI)
ARI
conducts and fosters research designed to improve the methods of
diagnosing, treating, and preventing autism, and disseminates research
findings to parents and others. Its website includes a wide range of
information, with a focus on research about new treatments. Also included
are articles from its newsletter, Autism Research Review International,
and information about Defeat Autism Now (DAN). Autism
Resources Produced
by John Wobus, the father of a child with autism, this site features an
extensive "FAQ" from the AUTISM Mailing List, definitions of
terms, references to books, organizations, treatment programs, and other
information from the list's online discussions and other sources. In
addition, the site offers a large, classified collection of links. Autism

The
web site of this major national organization offers a wealth of
information for parents and service providers, including "information
packages" on such topics as educational rights, medical insurance,
residential options, employment, and much more. Autistics.org
Produced
by volunteers "by and for persons on the autistic spectrum,"
autistics.org is a nicely done web site that focuses on self-help and
self-advocacy resources for individuals with autism spectrum disorders.
The "library" features articles that reflect the personal
perspectives of its contributors. The extensive links collection is
hierarchically organized and annotated. Center

The
CSA web site offers information and articles about autism and related
disorders, issues, interventions, and sibling concerns. There are numerous

Resource Center This
extensive meta site describes online resources relating to blindness and
visual impairments. Categories include access to the Internet, braille,
deaf-blindness, eye diseases, low vision resources, on-line information,

is a nonprofit organizaton "committed to increasing the use of
computers, high quality instructional technology, and assistive
technologies for students with special needs in schools, homes and the
workplace." Its web site includes articles and links relating to
assistive technology and children, funding, state assistive technology
products, and more. EASI's
K12 Education Technology Centre This
section of the EASI (Equal Access to Software and Information) web site
includes resources and links relating to Department of Education support
for adaptive technology, K-12 science, engineering and math resources,
adaptive technology hardware and software solutions, links for kids,
parent resources, resources for teachers, and online workshops. The
National Assistive Technology Advocacy Project: Operated
by Neighborhood Legal Services, Inc., this federally-funded project
"supports the advocacy efforts of attorneys, advocates, service
agencies, persons with disabilities and their families as they seek
funding for AT services and devices." Its web site includes a series
of booklets on funding AT, a compendium of court and hearing decisions
