Parent Forums

Forum Meeting:
CHSEPTA is recognized by the State of NJ as the Cherry Hill Parent Advisory Group. We are a vehicle to address parent concerns and questions that will be addressed with senior administrators. CHSEPTA has devised a forum to collectively present the issues that are important to our members.  We will be offering our Parent Forum, where the primary goal will be to constructively discuss issues that impact our children with special needs.

For the first hour of the meeting parents and the SEPTA executive board will meet to collectively discuss the concerns and develop questions.  A senior administrator will join the meeting for the second hour and discuss the topics and questions.  If they have to research any item, they will report back to the SEPTA board in a timely manner.  Their answers will then be posted on the website.

We currently have 2 Parent Forums scheduled for the 2008-09 school year:

Please mark the dates on your calendar as our Parent Forums are very informative and are a productive vehicle for addressing special education concerns. 

Online Forum Data Collection:
CHSEPTA online forum is a data collection system. We ask that parents email us with a brief description on their child’s issues, child’s age, grade, attending school or placement, classification, current & ongoing concerns, how you have addressed the problems.

We want to present the systemic special education issues & concerns drawn from this data submitted by parents.  CHSEPTA wants to address parent concerns as a group. We can constructively present concerns that impact our children who are impacted by individual special needs.
