Volunteer Opportunities Attention Members: Many of our members have asked about ways that they can help CHSEPTA move forward in being the most effective Special Education PTA. We welcome the support of all of our members. Here is your opportunity to become part of the solution! We are looking for volunteers to fill the following positions: SEPTA School Liaison: We are looking for a parent in each of our individual schools to act as the SEPTA School Liaison. You will be responsible for contacting the respective school's special education teachers, case managers, guidance counselors, and principal, for the purpose of facilitating communication, dissemination of SEPTA information and literature, facilitating back to school nights and fundraising efforts. This is the perfect opportunity to become involved in your child's school and help make our Special Education PTA a success! SEPTA Reporters: We are looking for a person(s) who will attend meetings of interest for SEPTA, and utilize a standardized on-line meeting report form to report on the contents / results of the meetings. You need not be the parent of a special needs child to volunteer for this position. Grandparents, members of the community or other interested parties are welcome to help out! We will provide the Meeting Report Form online so that you may print it for ease of use. SEPTA Fundraiser Coordinator: How are your skills at planning special events? We have a wonderful opportunity for someone who will originate or take charge of a fundraising effort and facilitate its success! This is the perfect opportunity for you to plan events that will help support your Special Education PTA.
